| I took Peaches for her first round of booster shots. I think I'm more traumatized than my dog. The had to take her temperature and try to get a fecal sample. And hten I had to hold her down for a shot of benadryl. After that the vet took her in the back for the rest. I couldn't do it.

| all the crap movies. I've already seen Wolverine and Star Trek. Both were great. I may actually go see Wolverine again today. But as for the rest. Meh.
Angels and Demons - Not interested. Missed the first one on purpose no plans to see this one. Dance Flick - I got sick of these after the first two. Seriously. Fighting - Looks good but I will wait for the DVD. Something about Channing Tatum without a shirt. Ghost of Girlfriends Past - No Night at the Museum 2 - looks interesting but I missed the first one so I'll skip it. This also seems more like a family movie and I go to the movies alone Osessed - Not feeling it. Star trek - See above Terminator Salvation - Really actually sick of the concept. Might see it on DVD X-MEN Origins: Wolverine - again see above.
Alhough last night I did hae a dream about a cute guy being shocked that I liked the X-men. Could this be a dream of things to come? Doubt it.
As for things to come: Transformers is out in June, Harry Potter in July and GI Joe in August. Does this make me a dork or what?!

| So I am still loving the new job. Last week had almost nothing to do with my actual job but it was interesting. Monday we did all of the human resources stuff. They told us about the benefits and the build your own medical plan. I still need to get them my direct deposit stuff but I can turn that in later. Tuesday we did a bunch of computer based training about the different kind of garbage trucks and containers. That afternoon we drove halfway to Mexico to visitt a landfill. It was exactly what you would expect of a landfill. Giant hole, filled with garbage and layered with dirt to help everything decompose. Yes, there is a lot of engineering involved and a lot of money. Wednesday and Thursday were the days we got to go on ride-alongs. I had to be the transfer station at 3:45 am both days (some people had to be there at 2:45). Wednesday I spent on a commercial front loader. Basically spent eight hours sitting in a very cramped cab while Steve emptied a bunch of dumpsters at strip mall type places. I did learn of one bakery that I will never eat their bread because while he is dumping the trash, the bread is sitting in the parking lot, 40 feet away, uncovered. Mmm garbage dust. Oh, and I also learned how to set the truck on fire. Didn't actually happen but we could smell something burning so that was taken care of pretty quickly. Thursday was spent on a roll off truck. That is a huge pain in the butt. We only went to four sites but it took eight hours. One was a compactor, you have to drop it, go to the other side, pick it up, dump it and then turn it around again before returning it to the store. Another was a house that was under construction. We were taking them a smaller container and picking up a full one. So first we had to drop the new one, load the old one and then swap them out. I don't think they could have put the box in a worse spot. I would have refused to do it, because I would have taken off the roof of the house. The also had half of the way blocked by unplanted landscape and huge decorative boulders. The last trip was out to Tonto National Forest, out to one of the lakes. (Bartlett Lake) It was really neat. Totally worth the hour drive out there. Friday was more computer training and making sure we had access to everything for Tuesday. And we did a personality test. The myers briggs psychology/personality test to be exact. I took one of them back either when I started high school or college. We had fun with it.
I am very much looking forward to getting back to a normal sleep pattern. Right now I am still getting up around 430. About an hour too early for me, actually almost two now that I know what traffic is like and almost have a routine down.

| Was way fun and slightly exhausting. The commute isn't bad, It's something like a half hour depending on traffic. I was told this morning was very light traffic. I was up at 530, ready to leave by 645 and left at 700. Arrived at 740ish because I stopped at the QT and was very grateful to find a starbuck with a block so that I could kill some time before getting there. Met a dozen or so people, whose name I'm not going to remember. There are 8 people total in my training group, one of which is transferring from Houston. The job is out of Houston, they are moving the entire National Accounts team here to corporate headquarters. I am in the first wave of three new hire waves, May, June, and July. It sounds like we will have another three people next week that are transferring from Houston with more that are still deciding if they want to transfer. It sounds like our group is going to be about 26-30 AP specialist and they are still looking to fill about 11 positions with new hires. It's really exciting. The company just merger with another company and they've been planning to move here for a while, so everything is all nice and streamlined for us. They keep telling us we're the start of something new and huge, with a lot of opportunity ahead of us. This week is going to be a bit bizarre. We had general paperwork, company overview type stuff today and got our initial computer logins as well as our email and learning center set up. Tomorrow we get to do some very exciting computer based training (love powerpoint, don't you)and then we get to take a tour of a landfill. Wednesday and Thursday will be crazy because I'm pretty sure they said we have to be there at 230 in the morning for ride alongs. Yes, I'll be riding along a garbage truck route. This is the waste management industry and they really want us to know the garbage business.
Crazy days ahead.

| I didn't miss it. How hard is it to tell someone that your using the last of teh laundry soap. Even better, why is it that there are four kinds of laundry soap sitting there and my expensive stuff for dark clothes is the one that ends up empty? Seriously. Dad buys Tide, which I can't use. I had an allergic reaction about two years ago to Tide concentrate with Fabreeze, unwilling to chance it, I just don't use tide anymore. And considering about 85% of my wardrobe is blacks, greys, purples and reds, I always buy a thing of woolite for darks and them something like Purex or Gain for my warms and whites. So what gets used? My eight dollars for a 32 load bottle of laundry detergent. Grrrr. So now I have to resort to putting my laundry soap under my bathroom sink.
Since I haven't worked all week, I've been cleaning and organizing. Pretty sure this is the longest my bedroom has ever stayed clean. It's not that I'm all that sloppy. I just hate hanging up clothes so they end up sitting in a laundry basket until I need ot do laundry again. And I usuallu just push the book I'm reading of the edge of the bed when I'm done. So there's usually clothes and books everywhere. And I just bought a little 3 drawer organizer for my bathroom. THat's the only drawback to having my own bathroom. It's the smaller of the two. I don't have a tub, just a shower stall, so shaving my legs isn't all that fun. And I have no countertop space. So I just put all my makeup in this little caddy. And seriously how many things of eye shadow do you think I need. I have all sorts of them. And sadly, going through it all, i think I only threw out 3-4 kinds that I never weaar anymore. Gah.

| I submitted my application to ASU before the March 30th deadline. No response. I checked on their webpage for details on when decisions would be sent out, and it staets no later than early May. Now I'm pretty sure we are past that as I would classify this as mid May, so where is my response, dang it all.

| I had errands to run and then I was going to go to the gym. I swear. But lately when I get my monthly visitor is starts with back spasms. Not fun. I couln't even stand to sit in my car for the 30 minutes it took to get home. So I will either go later tonight (doubt it) or I'll make a special trip tomorrow. There are Yoga and Zumba classes tomorrow. What is Zumba?

| That was me yesterday. I'd had a headache since the night before. Probably from wearing my contacts so many days in a row. And I was a bit cranky. So about three o'clock I laid down for a nap. Woke up about six fifteen when the doorbell rang (UPS dropping of a book I had ordered), laid back down and was out until 10ish. And then I was up until about two am. Blah.
I've been really good about going to the gym this week. I missed yesterday cuz of the napping, but I am trying to get into a routine now so that as soon as the new job starts I can hit the ground running. I should try going to the classes, but I don't feel ready for that.
And in case you missed it, I am also trying to post a little every day.

| Season finale is tomorrow. I can't wait. LAtely I've been watching a lot of older shows from the beginning. Bless Netflix. It originally started with Gilmore Girls and Roswell. Even though I'd always loved Gilmore Girls, I'd never watched all the shows in their given order. SO I bought the first season then the second. and so on until I was caught up. THis was around the beginning of season 5. Then I bought all three seasons of Roswell. I miss Roswell. Then Veronica MArs moved to a channel I got. SO I had to catch up before the season started. And I think I almost made it. I missed something like the first two eps of season 3. Next was the O.C. I Caught the series finale and was interested to see what had happened. I really loved how they ended the series. But they knew it was coming. SO I bought the first season rented 2&3 and bought the fourth season (which I think got lost in the move.) Then I tried to get into Buffy. But I know that Angel gets his own series and Buffy ends up with Riley and then Spike, so for me Buffy ends with Season 3. I know how both series end and occasionally I'll read fanfic for Buffy but for me it really does end with Season 3. When I first moved to Phoenix, I would spend part of my day job hunting and the rest watching CSI reruns on cable. And so it began. Since moving I have watched all 9 seasons of CSI (Vegas)caught up completely on Criminal Minds, NCIS, and Numb3rs. I've always pretty much watched House and I don't like it enough to buy the dvds. Bones I think I've always watched and maybe only missed a few eps but I love the chemistry on the show and it's Angel (not really) so I bought the dvds for Bones. I forgot about charmed. I own the whole series. That came after VM but before Buffy. Now I have moved on the CSI Miami and Las Vegas. Although I used to be a huge fan of Las Vegas around season 2 & 3 (Josh Duhamel is one of my favorite hotties) so that probably won't last. And I know how it ends, with a huge cliffhanger that probably won't be resolved so I may not bother with it for too long.
And I've really been into Harper's Island. I know it's not renewed. Didn't really think it was that kind of show, just figured it for a midseason stand in, but I am really enjoying the murder mystery. And like bones and CSI, I've learned not to eat while watching an episode.
Don't you love what I get up to when I'm not working full time.

| Yes, I am counting down the number of days until I start my new job. I got the Welcome letter today. Basically, when the job was offered they had a start day but no time listed. They were still working out some of the details I guess. So I start at 8 AM Monday, Never would have guessed that. And also find out that they weren't joking about the ride along. BTW, my new job is for a national waste management company. I get to ride along on garbage trucks. In 105+ degree weather. How much fun is that going to be. In the meantime, I'm trying to get Peaches on a schedule. She'll either be penned up in a little 3x3 corner or I need to find another baby gate to block her int te kitchen. So far no luck finding a second gate that her head won't get stuck in if she tries to make a break for it. I'll go looking at another wally world in the morning, if they are out as well target should be good for one and they are located right next to the walmart.
I'm off.
